‘The main features of the sanctuary are the Reredos and the stained glass windows... The Seven Angels Reredos was designed and worked by Susan Riley. Commissioned in 2000 it took two years to complete and was inspired by the angels of the seven churches to whom letters are addressed in the first three chapters of the Book of Revelation.’ (Source: Bromley Parish Church).

‘Susan Riley was a student of Beryl Dean. Her work was figurative and closely detailed, reminiscent of fine pen drawing. Riley designed a number of ecclesiastical projects for Beryl Dean’s embroidery class at Hammersmith College of Art and Building, including a cope and mitre for St Paul’s Cathedral and The Hammersmith Cope.’ (Source: V&A Collections).
