A+C leads session on new art for Creationtide

May 2025

At a recent conference in held in Assisi and organised by the Laudato Si’ Research Centre in Oxford, A+C staff and trustees delivered a 90-minute session to explore the opportunities that the emerging recognition of a Feast Day of Creation might offer to contemporary artists.

The conference brought together delegations from a very broad range of world denominations and has made unprecedented progress towards a formal and widely known Feast Day. Such an initiative begs the commissioning of new art that can convey something of the seriousness of the climate and biodiversity crisis as well as images of hope and beauty.
