It’s been a privilege and a joy to work with the Church of the Annunciation Marble Arch and the artist Ken Nwadiogbu to commission a new banner depicting Mary and the angel Gabriel. Back in April this year we met to look at the church together and for Ken to meet its Vicar, the Rev’d Dr Lincoln Harvey and churchwarden Michael Mohammed, as well others from its diverse community. The commission will represent that diversity and received funding from the Racial Justice Unit of the Church of England.
The banner shown here was designed by the church’s architect Sir Walter Tapper. On 14 November Ken’s new banner will be unveiled and blessed.
