Keith New wrote: ‘The design of the window is built around a series of hexagonal shapes, which echo the shape of the church in plan. The central section represents the Holy Trinity, as well as the closed eyes of God within the tabernacle; the two smaller shapes to left and right of the altar represent the open eyes of God: the Nativity and the baptism of Christ, green and blue respectively. The treatment is purely abstract colours and shapes. […]
The rich red and crimson shape dominating the centre of the window is the mystery of God, withdrawn and within the tabernacle (Isaiah 33 : 20-21).’
